Do we offer try on’s?

Yes. We offer local try on’s.

Postal try on’s?

Unfortunately at this stage Vim and Vigor doesn't offer postal try on's.

What do I need to know about try on’s?

Appointments last 30 minutes, and you’re welcome to bring your friends.

Our fitting appointments are no cost.

Please treat our service with care. Return dresses neatly to their designated size and colour sections, avoid forcing zippers, and remember to remove jewellery before trying on outfits to prevent snags.

Arrive fresh, without recent fake tan, and leave your bags outside the door as a safety precaution. If you decide to rent an outfit, you
won’t be able to take it home the same day. Dress pickups are scheduled for Thursdays and Fridays for weekend rentals.

What is Vim and Vigor?

We're a designer dress rental company that hires out a variety of dresses from different designers.
You can rent a dress, choose it for a certain date, and pay less than the full price. After you wear it, just send it back. Learn more on our blog or 'how it works' page.

Where are you based?

We are based down south in Wanaka.

I'm not in Wanaka, do you ship garments?

Yes we do! We ship NZ wide in home compostable and recycled courier bags. Check out our shipping information page to learn more.

When do you send out garments?

Our usual posting days are Tuesday and Wednesday before 4pm for weekend rentals, as majority of the
garments arrive back to us on Tuesdays. We collect them from the dry-cleaner on Wednesday. We strictly use overnight shipping and aim for the garment to arrive 1-2 days before your rental period.

What does it mean when you say M fits 8-12 on Instagram posts?

This means that the dress is either of a stretchy material or versatile sizing. With a stretchy material dress this can usually fit around 3 sizes, with the smaller material is going to be a bit looser and larger sizes will fit a bit tighter.

Can I bring a friend with me to my try on?

Yes absolutely. There is plenty of room for friends.

What If the rental arrives and I don’t like it or fit it?

If your outfit doesn’t fit, you must let us know as soon a possible. For store credit your dress needs to be
sent back or dropped off the same day as delivery. Shipping will not be
refunded. We recommend checking the sizing chart for the dress brand you wan to hire. This will ensure you get the right size.

I need to cancel my garment, what happens next?

If you need to cancel your garment, please email or DM on Instagram as soon as possible. We
are happy to give a full refund if you give plenty of notice. You must contact me within 24 hours before receiving the dress to be eligible for refund. If the garment has already been shipped, you unfortunately not eligible for a refund, this will be replaced with store credit, Shipping will not be refunded or store credited.

I got a mark on my rental! should I try and clean it myself?

If this happens you need to message me straight away. Please do not wash the garment yourself we will advise on what to do next. The whole idea is for us to do the hard work. A lot of our dresses are delicate and need dry cleaning which generally they always get the marks out. If the dress is extremely stained and needs to be sent away an extra $25 will be charged to you.

What if I don't agree with the terms and conditions?

If you don't agree with them, unfortunately, you can't rent from us as we cannot change these.  If you have already rented an item, you automatically agree to these T&Cs and are legally bound to them.

Is your pricing for one day?

Our pricing is for one day,
however our customers tend to have our garments between 1 - 4 working days. If you are wanting to book across two weeks, you are required to book for that garment twice across the two weeks. This will be twice the rental price listed.

What date should I book my rental for online and when will I receive it?

Please book date of wearing. We will ensure your dress arrives before this date. If the event is during the day
or you are going away the night before, we suggest booking the start date a day earlier. If your return date falls on the Sunday simply drop the dress off at the post office counter the following business day (Monday) Before 5pm.
